Problem at Ercan

I have held permanent residency for 15 years without a problem. However last night the immigration officer at Ercan refused to recognise my immigration status and has given me a 60 day visa which is useless when you live here. My wife at the next booth sailed through without a problem. A nice welcome home. Have now got to find out how to get this changed.

Oh Wow! Didn't realise that last night! Police station first as a suggestion.

Could you give more details please?
Did you present a current residency visa?
If so, was it in the form of a stamp in your passport or is it the new style residency certificate?

Sorry didn't see the permanent bit. How odd, 60 days visa would seem irrelevant then if you already have permanent residency.

Could it be something to do with the 2 yearly confirmation?
