Where are the jobs ? Where to look ?

- Hi this seems to be the best of all the TRNC forums, but I see now there has been only 1 job post after 1 month ,otherwise it's been pretty quiet on this board.
OK jobs for English speakers who don't speak Turkish must a niche and I know there are couple of hurdles in mainland Turkey like
- 1. usually have to know someone to get a job
- 2. the bureacracy is unbelievable you need a permit or certificate for everything
, but surely there must be a demand for some "fluent English speakers" like au pairs, caretakers, proofreaders etc.
- I bet local English schools lots of calls everyday from people looking for work.
- Where else could we be looking ?
- Should we be looking in the Turkish language press ?

I'll answer my own question : Where to find jobs in Cyprus ?
It seems ....
- There aren't many jobs available
- Jobs are usually filled by "someone who knows" some one already working there .. so don't get advertised ..so get networking
- OR start your own business ..Girne bicycle courier or Night Laundry etc.
- You can check the Turkish languge newspapers for "İs Arayanlar" e.g. The Star classified a copy of the printed page http://www.starkibris.net/seriilan.asp

- You can contact businesses directly : http://www.thebuzzbook.com The biggest directory.. also a
printed phonebook
