I use gas in the winter turn it on about lunch time until 9pm ish one bottle lasts me 2 weeks.A non inverter will be expensive to run and if theres a power cut you have nothing.

Thing is with those gas heaters they are bad for you if you have breathing problems as very wet heat. Not many use anymore in Uk as they used to cause problems with wood and crital windows. So beware

I hate the gas heaters. They make me cough, give me a sore throat and make furniture etc smell. People who live with this all the time don't realise how awful they smell, but anyone not used to them will realise immediately. If there is a power cut, then put an extra layer on or fill hot water bottles and have an early night.!!

God be with the days when “having an early night” didn’t need hot water bottles (:"()

That’s a great idea got to have the windows open to heat up one room. So surly its better to use ac. It sounds like a large room or you would not have that size unit so one gas heater will not be sufficient. I find the ac to be the best effective way to heat no bottle change carring that all sort of reasons
