11 children...11 pets.... what is your opinion?
I've just been reading today's news about a woman who has 11 children and 11 pets.
She receives all benefits from the government, and is suppposidly going to be moving into a £400.000
eco friendly house, again all on benefits.
The comments that have been left are ''interesting''. I just wondered what your comments on the subject
are?

Re: 11 children...11 pets.... what is your opinion?
Pets are great for kid's developments, but not at the expense of those who pay taxes. /This woman should accept some responsibility for the choices she has made (and yes, I have been there, so to speak - had to live on the hand outs for a while and hated it) and do something about housing, feeding and clothing the children, and then when there is the money and she has learned responsibility, help the children's developments with pets.
or give the pets to the local school so all the kids can enjoy them.
as to a £400,000 house, \I guess some council houses are worth that these days. I am so out of touch that it seems a lott of money but it probably isn't that grand - depends where it is. where is the father in all this, or can't he earn enough to suport the family.
Whatever, pets cost money, so I rreckon the pets should go, although inclined to agree iit might b better to keep th e pets and put the kids up for adoption! (naughty Marion!)

One of the pets being a Horse costing £200 a month for vet and stable fees!! also 2 grandchildren who belong to her 22 yr old daughter and a 19 yr old Son live with her and an unemployed partner who neighbours say works as a lorry driver. I think this needs a special investigation before she gets this "Eco Mansion" being built for her. Not the kids fault it is the system that is wrong.

Marions she lives in 2 council houses with a door between the 2, her excuse is she can't keep her eye on all the kids when some are sleeping next door!! some of these "kids" are 22, 19, and 18, she had he first aged 14, the 2 eldest having kids of their own in there with them. The house is being built especially for her with 6 bedrooms, 2 lounges and 2 bathrooms and an enourmous kitchen/dining room with all mod cons. She has said if she finds it not big enough "they will have to build me another one won't they, I don't know whether to move now the kids may get hassle" It is on an estate of similar type houses for private sale I wonder how many they will sell with this family living there?

Flippin' 'eck! Oh well maybe she will have some spare rooms for the pensioners over here that need to return to U.K and who get NOUGHT after having a lifetime of CONTRIBUTING to the system!
What happened to 'Great' Britain - even the leaders have got ethics upside down!
Can't someone stop this and make the lorry driver layabout get a job, and the ones over school age get work - two jobs if need be to keep the rest of the bunch of kids who will have no idea how to live a proper life in their generation to come. Ouch, I despair.
But what can WE do? Write hundreds of letters to the government and say 'start being fair!'

She'd need to earn over £66k p.a. if she was working to live at the level she does now, is it any wonder she doesn't bother? As to this new house apparently she says if she doesn't like sometjing she gets the builders to change it. No surprise she has appeared on Jeremy Kyle!

Re: 11 children...11 pets.... what is your opinion?
Never mind us for the moment! What about some of the money being spent on pensioners who cant even think about leaving the UK and dont even have the dignity of adequate lving accommodation, medical attention and personal care when they become incapable of looking after themselves have to spend a livetime's savings and sell their homes to supplement the benefits they contributed to, and still end up when their resources run out dying in the corridors of of inadquately staffed hospitals.
Its down to greed and our materialistic society. This woman wanted children and animals and was determined to have them regardless of whether or not she could care for them. Let alone money, no one person can give adequate attention to ll animals let alone meeting the emotional and intellectual needs of growing children. If he really cared about either species, she would have done better to start doing something about the vast numbers of deprived children and animals.
To be fair to politicians it is a dilemma - if you refuse benefits , it is the children who suffer deprevation. If you decide the woman is irresponsible and remove the children you are not only costing the state even more,, but moving towards the totalitarian and elitist society most peole dread.
And the real tragedy is the children will grow up with no sense of responsibility and perpetuate the problem

The government can't do right for doing wrong when they are trying to sort the benefits problem out, too many do gooders . Already 2 of family have children of their own without partners looking after them, the 22 yr old has a child of 3 and the 19yr boy has a baby son, a girl of 16 says she pays for the horse £200 a month but will not say where she gets the money from. £35,000 a year has been quoted as the benefits this mother gets, she said she doesn't want any money from the 3 Fathers,

That is outrageous, kick some of them out, downsize her accommodation and make her get a bloody job.

Re: 11 children...11 pets.... what is your opinion?
There are couples in the UK, working and paying all their dues, who would dearly love to have a child but cannot afford to.
They don't, because they know that to bring a child into the world means taking responsibility for feeding, clothing and educating the child.
They acknowledge that this is their responsibility, not other peoples.
Sod the Politically correct, the misguided human rights lot.
In cases like this, compulsory sterilisation is the solution.
Give the children to selected adoptive couples, where they will be brought up correctly, learning manners and and morals.

Sterilise the lot before they add any more to my tax bill. They obvioulsy have no idea as to what birth control is.......or maybe they do but realise they get to live the easy life this way.

Before she moved to the houses she has now she lived in a secluded four bedroomed cottage the rent was £1000 month paid by the council she has had to move out because it is now up for sale. Besides the Horse she has a Macaw worth £1000 just 2 of the 12 pets. She also paid for flying lessons for her partner. Defiant Frost insists she is not a scrounger saying "I am not living in luxury like some people think, I don't drink or smoke and didn't plan a large family these things happen I don't believe in abortion". 500 people have signed a petition to halt her move to the new house. She apparently has had Ovarian cancer and can no longer have children!!

I was afraid this would bring out the "flog 'em and hang'em" brigade - even more dangerous than the loony left.
I still say this is down to moral climate. Actually I dont condone the woman (after all I pay taxes too, and paid NI and am sick of subidizing other people's children)But from her point of view, probably with no parental guidance or moral teaching at school, she sees politicians, financiers , pop stars and sportspeople grabbing what they want without any compunction about the legality , ethics or affect on others - why should she not take advantage of the system to get what she wants. By comparison with some of the things her role models go for,is wanting children and animals so very wicked?!
Excuse me while I go to find my tin helmet, lock the steel shutters and let the rotweilers out.......................

Rambling Rose - no, "wanting children and animals" is not wicked at all; in fact, she can have hundreds of each as far as I am concerned AS LONG AS SHE CAN SUPPORT THEM AND DOES NOT EXPECT THE REST OF US TO DO SO.

Jean: I didnt say I approved or that I was happy about my taxes supporting other people's children.
What disturbs me is the witchhunt against one individual who is only doing what thousands of others do and taking advantage of a situation, when there are so many worse ways in which our money is misused: politicians using expenses to fund a luxury lifestyle; bankers getting golden handshakes for mucking up the world economy and causing mysery for millions, busnessmen using techniques to persuade people (particularly children) to buy what they dont need and cant afford and running up debt; companies overcharing for simple life saving drugs so they are available only to a lucky few; not to mentioned the hidden profit making agenda of many wars.
But its easier to attack one soft target , who is probably the victim of the mercenary society she lives in , rather than have the courage to tackle the real evils.

On a point of fact: I thought there was legislation now that required fathers to contribute to the maintainance of their children (legitimate or otherwise) if the mother was receving "benefits" regardless of whether or not the mother was prepared to claim direct?

Rambling Rose - in my post 10 "I don't want any money from the 3 Fathers" is what the woman said. I wonder if the Fathers are paying for her grandchildren her 22yrs old has a 3yr old and her 19yr old Son a baby, they live with her too. No parental guidance here.

Re: 11 children...11 pets.... what is your opinion?
Yes Woodspeckie It was your post that prompted the thought. If I understood the report on the legislation correctly (and I am not totally sure that I did which is why I am asking) it does not matter what she wants - the "state" has the right to recover a contribution from the fathers and I wondered if it did in this case. Always assuming they can be found and have money anyway of course................and so it goes on. The whole system is really obviously out of control.
And of course "parental guidance" is the real point. If the parent had no parential guidance or other moral lead she has none to pass on to her children and the whole thing spirals out of control.

I reckon she should come to Cyprus for a holiday, get merried with a very young construction worker or a waiter from the mainland, take him to UK, have 6 more children and hopefully claim her right to move into Buckingham Palace!

Her own father said 'She should get off her backside and get a b****y job like the rest of us. She's on all the benefits she can get. She's lazy, I didn't raise her to be lazy. I'm not lazy. I've worked all my life until retiring 5 years ago.' There was another story in the weekend press of a family expecting their 11th child, the difference being both parents worked and all the children had the same parents. I believe that everyone is entitled to as many children as they want, but don't expect the rest of us to foot the bill.

I suppose this gives the whingers something to" tittle tattle" about whilst the real villains are laughing all the way to their respective banks !
And no I don't condone this womans behaviour.
It's an insult to those of us who have contributed to the system all our lives.
But put away your daily mails and comment on the bankers, utility bosses and most of our politicians of all colours who are all out to feather their own nests.

No empty rooms at Buckingham Palace, it is already full of foreigners living on state handouts.

There is still the Tower of London.
