LEFKOSA LAND REGISTRY Directions

Directions please.
My knowledge of Lefkosa is pretty thin e.g. main hospital, residency office, car tax office so basic diections would be appreciated

I gather noone has ever been to the Land Registry in Lefkosa or just can't be bothered to share the whereabouts!!!!!! Too busy wingeing about fish and chips no doubt - 2100 hits - shows where the priorities lie
Should anyone need to visit the Tapu, it is in the same building as the one where you go to obtain/renew your residency but on the fourth floor - no lift!
I went to obtain a copy of the map of my land/property which as some of you may know Girne Tapu will not provide. Having found the little office it became obvious why. 16TL a copy or two for 30TL!
No point wingeing about this ripoff as all the locals were coughing up! So if they can't bring about a realistic price structure.................

Not many people actually go there, usually all done in Girne so sarcasm will be lost to most.

It is not the best spot to find so hope this gets you there. From Girne when you come to big roundabout at end of dual carr. bear left towards Magusa. At second set of traffic lights turn right. Bit of a rough road at present but head towards city centre. You will go around roundabout with church in middle, taking second exit. At cross roads with traffic lights go straight on passing Deniz Plaza on left. Then bear left onto one way system.

Next turn left about 75 yards and immediatley left. Follow this road around to your right, there are several huts of government offices. It is a year since we were there but office is on your left about 200 yards along. Sorry cannot remember if there is a name outside or what it says.

I think it is a shame that after only one day the initial poster resorted to sarcasm because nobody was able to give directions to somewhere that I would imagine 95% of members have no idea where it is. This is now compounded for me having done what was requested.

Makes one think twice for the future!!

cyprusishome as you know 99% of the people on this forum are friendly and helpfull , its not worth letting that 1 % upset us . Life is too short to let people get to you , keep smiling and enjoy life , If they want to be nasty and sarcastic , then let them get on with their miserable lives .

It really is a shame genghis has taking the attitude he/she has and especially in not getting back to us. Maybe he has a good reason but......

Hi cyprusishome, I didn't respond because I sensed a "Cyprus44" reaction to my sense of humour!
If you read my second post again, which I hope was informative and useful to others in the spirit of Kibcom, you will see that I did find the Tapu OK.
Thank you for your assistance and I'm vaguely familiar with your suggested route having been along there to the Police Station and Road Tax office. However, I followed the route which I know to the Immigration Office which is straight over the big roundabout at the end of the road from Girne, past the hospital and turn left at the lights.
