Called at the Sha today, in the butchery dept. I saw what looked like Black pudding, it was the same shape and thickness, does anyone know if it is please? I would be surprised if it was. I found a Nigel Slater recipe which includes it.

Don’t know what that is, I’m afraid. But there’s black pudding in Supreme in the freezer. Unfortunately it’s not Clonakilty - the crème de la crème of black puddings (rathole alert!).

Can’t beat a Bury black pudding from Bury Market cooked and served hot if you want a snack.

The Supreme one is good. My southern husband has been converted to our northern delicacy! Shame really as I always used to have his off his plate when we had a full English!

Deniz not much fat in the Supreme one and a little of what you fancy does you good. It's not eaten daily or even weekly. ;-)

It’s a good source of iron. On the rare occasion that we do have it (very expensive out here) we cook it in the air fryer with no oil whatsoever.

If you fry it, it soaks up all of the oil.

Tastes better fried mind you

Trigger. May I ask if you got your air fryer here in the North? We were trying for a long time to find one but even the Tefal shop in Famagusta said they were only available in the south. They’re a bit big to bring out in a suitcase after a trip back to the mothership.

Mowgli, I was looking for a new pressure cooker and spotted air fryers on some online outlets here. I can't remember all the sites I checked, but Sharaf definitely had them.

Sorry, it’s in my apartment in Qatar.

Well worth getting though if you can get your hands on one. Probably one of my most used kitchen appliances.
