Ercan to LHR return for the whole of August a tad over £400 yet mid August until mid September a little under £800!

A couple of weeks ago we checked a late booking flight to get one pax to Milton Keynes return. Usual flight on Turkish is Ercan - Istanbul - Birmingham. Cost came in at circa £1500.
Flying Ercan - Istanbul - Dublin on the same dates by Turkish - £404. Few hours layover in Dublin then Dublin-Birmingham via Ryanair €79 return.
A no-brainer.
