Re: Scratch on Glass window
Smoker's tooth powder and toothpaste on a polishing bonnet are often used to remove surface scratches.

Hi Groucho, unfortunately the scratch is deeper than surface and nearly 1mm deep.
There are people who can do a repair similar to Autoglass windows but i just dont know anyone here who can hence looking.
Thanks for your advice though.

Any slightly abrasive polishing substance will remove the cloudiness/yellowing - although the main active ingredient is Elbow Greasebenjaminbutton wrote: ↑Wed 08 Jun 2022 10:55 amGroucho, will the toothpaste and brush remove the hazyness from the headlights?

Once you've got them clear, you'll need to apply a sealant/protectorant - available at Yapı markets and car accessory shops.

Incidentally I used the tooth powder and an old toothbrush to scrub clean the centre pole of my neighbour's water cooler which was covered in green gunk after two years with stagnant water in and it came up like new.

What a good idea, I ended up having to buy another one and the "suction" has been dreadful since!
