Travel Disruptions around Europe
Just to let you know and it may or may not affect you, but there is severe disruption with some airlines including Wizz Air where flights are being cancelled with some people being stranded until next week. Luton Airport had an outage yesterday.

Done this in a hurry but anyone affected need to make enquiries and get the facts regarding flights, using other airlines and compensation.

Three days ago a friend of mine had his family coming out with Wizz air from Heathrow, they were actually in the queue to check in when they were told the flight was cancelled! They are now coming two days later via Bristol, they live near Gatwick, the whole thing is depressing.
We fly from Manchester soon to join a cruise ship in Italy, fingers crossed for that!!

At least they were only 2 days late. Our flight was cancelled twice and we got here a week late. Originally twice at Gatwick then managed to fly from Luton.

Just for information, but cannot verify, which sometimes only interests a few….on Facebook a Turkish guy living in Germany has put on a statement that Turkish Airlines are to put a surcharge as from 19/6/22 due to the increase of cost to kerosene. Also Wizz Air and Ryan Air to flights to Northern Europe. Obviously will push prices up and if any compensation or refunds paid could be less the surcharge.

Can they do this if tickets on their Jnr. carrier i.e. Anadolu, have been bought and paid for months ago?

I believe all airlines can increase or decrease the price of your ticket up until you fly. With regard to fuel surcharge if your ticket is non refundable then the surcharge is non refundable.benjaminbutton wrote: ↑Sat 11 Jun 2022 7:43 amCan they do this if tickets on their Jnr. carrier i.e. Anadolu, have been bought and paid for months ago?
Like I said, couldn’t verify the information, looked but can’t see anywhere. However, the way things are going, you have to have an open mind.
