Hello Folks, I'm looking for a recommendation for someone who can competently change out the gravel and sand in my pool filter. The filter is a Mixo Type 12, with a capacity of 50 Kgs of Gravel and 100 Kgs of Sand. I'm located in upper Zeytinlik. Any rough guides as to cost would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance, HH. :-)

I had a quote from PoolsRus last year I think it was £200 but did it myself with a friend, horrible job I hope never to have to repeat.

Gentle reminder, when you have the sand changed make sure it is new sand and not re-washed old sand. You can normally tell by the sealed bags the new sand comes in. It used to be a tidy little earner for pool people to recycle old sand out here - although I will now get loads of replies to state that it never happened, it did - lol.

Remember that the sand is there to catch the dirt and when it is full of dirt it won't work anymore, even after hard washing it is very difficult to remove the dirt. When I had a pool I changed my natural sand for another type - can't remember the name of it - and my pool became crystal clear always.

Just looked it up "Zeolite Sand".
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

Also, be very careful if pool has been heavily dosed with chlorine recently, before deciding a change of filter medium is what was really required, as there can be quite a build-up of chlorine gas released into the pump room, so be prepared to make a hasty exit... the fumes are heavier than air and as you bend down inhalation may cause throat and lung distress. It's no joke

if you can do so, then try using Glass media

Would recommend using glass, it costs a bit more but is longer lasting and more efficient. PoolTech in Caltokoy supply it. They also do an online quote.
