checked turkish airlines and they want 435 pounds one way christmas time..

pegasus only go to london as far as i know.

Birmingham is indeed an issue
Ercan to southern UK seems far easier.

last month I had to go Istanbul-Amsterdam -Birmingham.
pegasus to Amsterdam then flybe to Birmingham
£305 and 19 hors following delays and consequential missed connections.

Had to do Ercan because I entered via Karpaz Gate.

A few weeks ago my other (some say better) half had to return to the U.K. urgently for a funeral.

Turkish Airlines Ercan to Birmingham return came in at c. £1500

TA Ercan to Dublin (our usual route) was £404.80

Flew to Dublin. Waited a few hours, then Ryanair to Birmingham €78.48

We’re considering a trip to Indonesia in January for a significant wedding anniversary. The difference between TA Ercan - Jakarta and Dublin - Jakarta (picking up the same Istanbul-Jakarta flight outward and return) is £500 cheaper (for two people) out of Dublin.

To me that implies the difference between flying Ercan to Istanbul is £500 more expensive than Dublin to Istanbul.

Pricing seems crazy!

Northern Cyprus for those North UK and Midlands is not boding well. On cost and availability that is.

I'm going to attempt the Larnaca route again very soon and hope that I can get a favourable border control person to grant me a visa.

Just a question here... people who are saying the prices are crazy.... are you actually trying to book through turkish airlines or are you going through one of these ridiculous scam companies that lead you to believe you are booking with TA but then load the price... just saying got caught once never again.... I have booked for September prices not bad at all.

In my case through Turkish Airlines via their mobile app, occasionally on-line to check if there is any difference (just in case!)
