Does anybody know of an ENT specialist?

Does anyone know of, or can recommend, an ENT specialist. It would be great to know where he/she operates from and a telephone number.

The clinic near the Pia Bella hotel has an ENT specialist, as do the main hospitals.

I have just had a operation on my ear, done by a very good ENT surgeon who has his own clinic in Girne.
He is also a teacher at the Near East Hospital, his name is Dr Tunis.
If you are coming down the lefcosia road into town, just after the roundabout about 200 yrd on the right there is a large block on the ground floor is Medicare, this is were is surgery is. He is normally there after 18.00 hrs at night, you could call in and see if the girls could arrange an appointment or if you go around 18.15 he should be there.

I can confirm that Dr Tunis, who has also operated on myself, is an excellent doctor.

I have only seen him at NEU Hospital but would highly recommend him.

Go to Near East University Hospital, they have specialists in each of the areas of Ear, Nose & Throat. Also the very latest equipment for examinations and treatment. If you do go make sure you join The British Residents and get the 20% discount of most of the costs except medicines. Comes as a recommendation based on our own experience there.

If you go to the Neareast hospital you register with them and pay them, if you go direct to see Dr Tunis who has his own equipment you will pay less for a consultation and advise plus it is a lot closer. I had to go to the N,E , for a cat scan before the opp to locate the nerves in the ear after that we never used the N,E, again. The opp was without any problems and the after care is the second to non, I am still seeing Dr Tunis after 6 weeks with no extra charge.
