Residency uploads?
I'm sponsoring the wife for residency renewal and as far as I can see there is no requirement or facility online to upload her Mukthar's form; I'm wondering if this is ok as I had to upload mine?
Perhaps this is because I'm her sponsor?
Any thoughts anyone?
Thanks in advance

Re: Residency uploads?
There should be a section at the bottom of the 2nd page (I think) that allows you to delete previously uploaded passport and muhtar's letter(domicile certificate). If her passport is unchanged then leave as is but the old muhtar's letter should be deleted and new one uploaded.
Should look something like this This is a very good guide, it's where I got the above picture https://www.infonorthcyprus.com/online-residency
I should mention that I didn't upload a new form in my last application and just took the new form to the police station and it was fine.

As it happened it was a moot point because having returned to the police station they took a very early lunch so will try again tomorrow.

She should have her own residency log-in and that is where she uploads her documents regardless of sponsorship.

Re: Residency uploads?
ginge, quite correct and the above link gives an excellent explanation of what to do and when! I particularly liked the bit of information that stated:
"Don't forget to check regularly as you have a total of 30 days to complete the tasks which are assigned to you i.e. paying Health Insurance and Residency, so if you forget about it, there is a danger your application could time out"
Today marked the 21 days prior to our residency expiration for the 15th year, so we logged on and completed all that we could - including deletion of files in RED and uploading new files - which went smoothly much to our surprise.
The system then spat out the Police Appointment date/time and the list of documents required as normal. Going back to the 30 days thing above, our residency expires on the 3rd of September yet our appointment date/times are not until the 31st of August which gives the "System" 3 days to get everything done - during which time our paperwork has to trundle it's way onto the huge pile of documents waiting to be re-checked at immigration! So effectively we begin our 16th open prison sentence (of unknown duration) on the 4th of September, until such time as we can pay for the privilege of having served it - and people complained about the lockdown - lol.
So, here we are starting year 16 residency application, in the sure and certain knowledge that it will take far longer than 30 days for us to complete it due to the unknowns involved in the handling of this "On-Line" application system which was designed to speed up the entire process. Happy days, it is Cyprus after all and I would not change it for the World but everyone needs to be aware that it is the land of hurry up and wait - lol.
One wonders what other actions we would have to take should the "Mystical" Permanent Residency ever become available again, for sure we would both apply for it if only to be able to tell all our Cypriot friends that we finally do live here after all - lol. We get tired of trying to explain the current system to Kimlik holders but it is a huge source of amusement to them if nothing else. Good luck to involved in the process yet again.

Re: Residency uploads?
After 18 years of "visiting" the TRNC I think I would probably collapse in a heap. Strange that isn't it. I've lost count of the number of locals over the years, that I've actually resorted to showing my passport just to prove I'm a "visitor" . They used to say something along the lines of "why don't you do something about it "?? They have also been bemused when I've explained we have not been given, nor ever will be given, our full Title Deeds. "why not they enquire"!!!

Re: Residency uploads?
TML. For us it was only the Muhtar letter (Domicile Proof) but also the Passport Information page was in red so deleted the old one and just dropped in a new one. That bit got us to the part where the Police Appointment comes up to tell you when to go and what to take! I think it must be different for everyone depending on circumstances - first time application etc.
