Internet
For past 2/4 months been using Hayden, we are off more than on. When on breaks up roughly every 8 ti 10 seconds, last week off completely for 3 days whilst work was being carried out presumably because of problems. It seems to be ok during am up until about midday from then on forget it. We are thinking of a new provider, help appreciated.we first went with Multimax when they first come onto island were great then as more and more people joined, same problems, perhaps they have update to be able to cope now. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Internet
We are in Karşıyaka too, albeit a little further west. We are with Lifecell Digital. Excellent service.
Lifecell Digital will conduct a site survey to confirm your location can receive a strong enough signal before taking you on as a new customer.

Re: Internet
Good to know.
Our first ISP was Nethouse. At that time Lifecell Digital's survey came back insufficient signal reaching our property whilst Nethouse could provide a strong signal from their station.
A few years later Lifecell Digital erected an antenna providing a decent signal to our location and property.
At renewal time I had quotes from Nethouse and Lifecell Digital. Comparable packages. It came down to price and we switched to Lifecell Digital, with whom we remain to this day. Very happy customers.

We are in Karsiyaka. Switched to Lifecell quite some time ago, works fine for us (20mbt) and customer support by telephone is fine (if needed).

Re: Internet
Haypem have moved their base station. They came last week to realign our receiver (it is now mountain side rather than sea side). If they haven't been to you to do the same you should give them a call - 0542 852 4948.

Which Base Station is this? I only ask because I won't be out until next year so wonder if I need to contact them before I come out.JoandJelly wrote: ↑Mon 17 Oct 2022 10:05 amHaypem have moved their base station. It was Karsiyaka sea side now moved to the mountain side. They came and moved the position of our antenna from one side of the roof terrace to the other.

Scubaboy9, we're in Alsancak as well and certainly don't need our aerial moved at all.

Re: Internet
There’s one here for MM. Ozanköy. No problem with an excellent service and the one time we had a technical problem it was fixed promptly (cable outside degraded by the sun and replaced). Accounts have bent over backwards to handle an enforced absence because of Covid (18 months - account suspended and credited when we were finally able to return).

Re: Internet
I've been with MultiMax for the last ten years, but their renewal cost for 12 months (5,400 TL) is far more expensive than their competitors. Currently, I'm getting good service, and fast download speeds (30 mBps), but I'm looking at changing to Turkcell / Lifecell, if their survey shows that I'll have good reception. HH

Re: Internet
We received an excellent discount from MM as a “loyalty bonus” this year. The cost converted to Stg£176.64 (I used a U.K. debit card to pay) for the year.
Vodafone Ireland’s charge had gone up to €125 (Stg£108.83 at the present rate) PER MONTH. Admittedly for 1GB fibre.
Definitely MM for us while here.

Re: Internet
We were with MM and like many off island for over a year. Returned and enquired about a possible credit due to enforced absence and having been with them for 10 years. Sadly they were not interested. Renewal price was expensive so decided to change providers.
Disappointing but just could not justify staying with them. New provider has proven to be very good.

Re: Internet
That’s about £80 more than we are paying with Lifecell Digital, for a 14 month deal. Standard “off the shelf”, no loyalty discount dragging the price down. Don’t need a loyalty discount at this price frankly.Mowgli597 wrote: ↑Wed 19 Oct 2022 4:48 pmWe received an excellent discount from MM as a “loyalty bonus” this year. What Vodafone Ireland charge is irrelevant here.
I have been asking around and have yet to come across a local (TC or mainland Turk) who is with MM.

Just changed from MM, the equipment was installed within 2 days of enquiring, I was given a time slot and communication was excellent. As I am a swallow I can Whatsapp when I need the internet turned on so it's ready when I arrive.poppy++1 wrote: ↑Thu 20 Oct 2022 3:18 amLOOK UNDER
