Why on earth should it be in sterling, the local Joe Blogs don't work or paid in sterling. Utilities should be in coin of the realm surely.

Re: New electric tariff
When you say change their tariff , do you mean I can choose to change my off peak time to what is classed as peak time on the above and what is a "fuel" fee.

Re: New electric tariff
"consumers can change their tariffs" means choosing between a tariff that charges different prices depending on AMOUNT of electricity used as opposed to a tariff that charges different prices depending on TIME OF DAY when electricity used - no, YOU can't change when and/or how much THEY charge you....
And fuel fee is/was a one-off thing they added in last May's bill and refunded the next month after protests...

You can choose now to go on the tariff like before witch changes 3 times a day. It was printed in the Cyprus TODAY on Saturday. I called kibtek and they sent it to me so it must be true. But as I said nobody knows how to do it

Hi, I suspect the document you have used Google Translate or similar to produce the English Language version, and it altered the currency sign but obviously without changing the numbers in line with the exchange rate - the numbers show a strong correlation to the Turkish version in TL...
I've noticed that some websites such as kktcarabam.com do the same thing.
I think that you can be fairly certain that the figures quoted are actually TL and not GBP.

Does anyone know if the cost of the KWh is staying the same if you don’t change to the new tariffs ? It’s 1.611 tl for the first 250 KWh at the moment

Hi Lee, I didn't mean that you translated it yourself - rather that it had been translated from the original Turkish to English, & that whoever had done so had probably used Google Translate or something similar, because the same thing happens if Google Translate is used on some websites to provide an English version - I think that it's a 'bug' in the system.
The point that I was trying to get across is that the versions that people have seen which actually use 'TL' as the currency have almost identical numbers to your version - so I conclude that yours should say TL and not GBP.
I'm still not sure that I've explained that properly!

Yes I understand you Kieth and I did notice that myself about the similarity of figures, But this is the TRNC and you never know. Our property and land is in our Limited Company name , and some things we have to pay can differ.
Regards Lee.
