2.5% pension increase

Just received my April state pension. An increase of 2.5%. I was hoping for the 10.1% increase - greedy me.

Increase to Pension normally takes place 1st May onwards,

New rate from 10th April on my public service pension.

I had a letter from UK Pensions explaining that the new rate including the 10.1% would be used as from the day after my April pension paydate. Therefore expect it to be reflected in my May pension payment.

Just remember folks what they give you with one hand they can take part of it away with the other!
Found that my increase will take my annual total over the tax free allowance so I will end up paying more tax on my company pension.
Still happy to be getting the extra.
