You could not make it up. Went and bought a melon at 9.99 per kilo. Got to till and got charged 14.99 per kilo. Went to display and took a photo of their prices for the melon. Went to desk to ask why . The member of staff took the price of 9.99 off the display . Then had the cheek to tell me the price had changed whilst I was shopping. I took the photo AFTER I shopped. !! They would not honour the price so I asked and got a refund. What a disgraceful way to treat your customers.

Had opposite experience looked at bill under charged, told them, then the cashier gave too much change which I pointed out. He ho what goes around as they say.

susiesusie I completely agree and try to avoid this store unless necessary because of this practice.
In the past they have charged me way too much for an item completely different to my purchase (a melon!) then kept me waiting over an hour while they checked the cameras on every till. The discrepancy was eventually thrust at me without a word of apology.
They caught me out again the other day to the tune of about 30tl on a bag of dog food. Buyer beware

It is not just Illeli. It is virtually every store I go in to. But very often cant really check receipt until I get home. I told the staff yesterday in Alsancak Dima. About Bota Grapefruit drink I had been buying, shelf price 15.99 price charged 25.99 the other day I bought 5. Got home noticed the difference plus 3 other items on the bill all similar issues. They don't want to know. Just take it or leave it.

The only store to acknowledge and rectify their mistake was the Bestmar Shop Karsyiaika. Their excellent Pakistani manager gave me a refund and a bottle of wine for pointing it out and having to go back there to sort it.

On the same note Turkcell have doubled my phone bill in 3 moths and the internet package from the company I have been with 16 years has quadrupled in 2 years.

Inflation here is absolutely off the scale. But its still better place than the U.K. sh--hole and at least the sun is shining.
