Checking tourist visa at police station

Can you check a tourist visa at any police station??

I would say No! We done this 2 years ago at Lapta Police Station and on being told we had 90 days. We left on our 57th day of our “90” days only to be told that we had overstayed by 27 days and would be fined on our return! On our return we were fined.

Yes…we checked for family at Kyrenia police station …very helpful..no queues..confirmed they had 90 days. No problems when they departed..
