After many years when a lightening strike took out the external lighting system and caused a major fire destroying the internal cafe/museum and tarnishing lots more, the external lights have now been restored and magnificent it looks too! However, why now in late autumn when few tourists are present and electricity is at a premium and scarce? The old Kyrenia harbour will probably have its official opening day when the first snowflake falls to the ground!!

Perhaps they're testing them ready for next season to save any embarrassment in case they don't work.
