I always use pakdus for cubicles they make them to any size . Also get a drain cover which can be removed for cleaning .

The trouble with Pakdus is a lot of their door handles and sink taps go rusty very quickly. Have had to replace lots of fittings after just a few weeks.

Well.just to remove the bath which is his question with no other work 1000 tl assuming taps are above the bath in the wall so no plumbing involved ..anyone can do it really ...but you are going to need a plumber later ...

2 weeks ago in girne we took out a shower tray tiled c 1.5meter underneath and lower wall put a new drain outlet in .5000 tl including tiles and a drain cover . I bought the pakdus door separate put it straight on the new floor I don't like shower trays they crack and leak .

No gates im.not ..when.i said we it's what i paid local people to to do the work ..I have a rental portfolio.

I'm not trying for those prices it's what I paid.

I'm.not offering any services . I do see you posting a lot offering to quote for business here . Probably only here you will find customer who will pay for labour in £ because nobody else will...Turkish won't .

But since you ask I wouldn't pay anyone here in £ for labour when all salaries are in tl.

I do see a lot of recommendations on here for services but I don't remember seeing anyone recommending yourself . Good luck .

My decorator isnt a registered company but pays taxes . Self employed I just paid him 5000 tl for 3 days work he painted a150 Meter flat + 4000 tl paint etc . The minimum wage here is c 1/3rd of the UK and 45% of the workers are on it as opposed to 4% in the UK. He is the best decorator I have had here .

P.s. I do think the costs of running a ltd company are absurd here compared to the likes of the UK and structural reforms are required..it's only foreigners who need them sole trader citizens and seemingly Turkish are ok .

You obviously don’t understand or know a lot about being legal here so don’t show your ignorance . I don’t want to argue with someone that doesn’t have a clue

If an old house and not plastic the bath will probably be concreted/ cemented in, fit person required. If plastic you maybe lucky the whole floor maybe tiled instead of just to the bath.

We bought a 900mm x 900mm quadrant shower cubicle from Pakdus about 9 years ago but the door and side screen seals have gone yellow over time, does anyone know if they sell replacement seals?

I know plenty about being legal here . I'm a citizen here and have been here 15 years . I know there are people here who target UK expats charging the same as the UK . I don't know what you charge but its likely a lot higher than I would pay as a guess .

Im simply writing my factual experience on here . Im sure there is a market for some people who want to pay UK prices to a UK jack of all trades ..

I prefer to use local sole traders who specialise in one area at a much lower tl price . I will let anyone reading decide if I haven't got a clue and are ignorant as you claim . It helps that my wife can speak Turkish I always get her to arrange price and appreciate that others don't have this option and may be happy to deal with a UK speaking "legal" jack of all trades .

If you want to call people clueless and ignorant on a forum you are trying to get business from that's up to you but I don't see how that's beneficial. I'm not trying to get any business just offering my perspective/experience which may not be suitable or available to everyone .

That’s great but if have never done it you don’t know. If you have a citizen ship then you never needed to. Believe me its not easy. Completely different from uk

I did say already the ltd company process here needs structural reforms . It would be impossible for my sole trader painter to pay set up and monthly accountants fees for a ltd co although since he is Turkish deposit money is no longer required and charge the same rates . The fees the lawyers charge for printing off articles of incorporation is a disgrace and a racket .

I'm sure many value your service a UK expat English speaker with an array of services is likely a perfect solution for some . For us we have multiple rental units to maintain so have the time and network and can communicate in Turkish to seek out different trades at the best price . For our girne properties I bring tiler and painter from magusa . Clearly that's not going to be possible for everyone . Over the years kibkom has been a valuable resource for me so I'm just sharing some of my experiences . I have researched company set up here before and have many friends in business with ltd companys so don't assume I am unaware of the challenges . If you want to get your bathroom ripped out there are various options all with pros and cons .
