Does anyone know what the Huge Bangs in the Esentepe area are. Sounds to big to be just blasting.

I am in Ozankoy and I too have experienced loud bangs and occasional flashes of light in the sky.
Having Googled it I have discovered to my surprise this is meteorological phenomenon known as 'Thunder and lightening'
Thank God for google eh, as otherwise I would never have guessed what the loud bangs are.
I really don't know how we managed before to be honest.
P.s I believe the big orange thing in the sky that comes up out the sea in the mornings is called the 'Sun'
And the white glowing object in the sky at night is called the 'Moon'
Hopefully this information will clear up a few pointless posts.

Heck of a storm here in Karsiyaka, stuff blowing around in garden, enough rain to half fill pool balance tank. Still blowing a gale. Plus leccie off for couple of hours.

CIH- Thank you for the kind compliment, I have in the past been called ' A fountain of rubbish'.
Although, I must admit to never being called a 'Font' before, I assume it's a typo as I have been called a bad word that sounds quite similar.

Joking aside, I heard some strange bangs in Lapta, and honest, it didn't sound like thunder, then I looked out of the window and saw a huge tree in the road!

It was travelling on the trunk road and branched off to the right, it was going back to it's roots
