Trouble paying Turkcell
I've been trying to pay via Pay Point and Turkcell for three days now, Can't manage either. but because I'm over the alloted date I have a "fine" of 5tl from Turkcell . If I pay direct to a Turkcell office I have a fine of 20tl for late payment using cash. Seems a bit fishy, particularly when I've been trying before the cut off date.

Re: Trouble paying Turkcell
Past couple of months I've not been able to pay Turkcell via their app or website using foreign cards. From memory, I wasn't alone. Paypoint can be a bit dodgy at times, but keep trying. I usually try to remember to pay as soon as the bill comes in, so that gives a bit of leeway of a couple of weeks should there be problems making a payment.
Don't know anything about a fine, they used to cut you off, maybe this is a new thing they have introduced?

Used to pay with my UK bank card, but several times the payment said hadn't gone through when in fact it had. UK bank started blocking the card paying KKTCELL so never use that now. Not worth the hassle. I now go to a local KKTC agent and pay them, and still get the free GB as if I had paid by card online.

Re: Trouble paying Turkcell
Not had the UK Bank blocking card, thank goodness, plus the money hadn't actually gone out of the account. I tend to use Chase or Revolut, and notification of payment made is immediate. Anyway, neither of them seem to be working these days with KKTCell online or app, so use Paypoint. I don't think there is a KKTC agent near me in Tatlisu, but would be happy to be proved wrong. I'm not at all fussed about the free GB.

I have been having the same problem with my Barclays Cards. Normally put some credit on my phone prior to coming out so it works when I arrive. Been trying for 2 weeks with no joy.

AM,
On checking, whilst the money wasn't coming out of the UK Bank, repeated attempts to Pay KKTCELL on the UK bank card apparently initiated the fraud blocking mechanism.

I think that Turkcell could be considered as fraud now.. Have tried to pay Turkcell over and over again both direct and Paypoint. Halifax appear to be blocking it. Down to their office tomorrow it seems, after being informed yet again that there will be a 50tl fine for late payment.!!!!

Thanks BB. Turkcell, or rather the bank that they use, are not for making it easy for anyone not using a local card.

I actually managed to pay my bill today online using their app and my Chase card..woo hoo! One good thing as I got 5GB gift until tomorrow, which is much needed as my home internet is broken and can't come until tomorrow.
