Best Beaches west side

What does everyone consider their favourite beach west of Girne?

The Belidiye beach at Kervanseray or the other Belediye beach at Mare Monte - both of them clean, cheap and well run...

Mare Monte for me. 20TL per person for bed, cushion and umbrella.

Not sure about this, but I think Karaoglanoglu Plage is free, but then of course you take you own stuff but you can drive almost on to the beach

Had a look at the reviews for Mare Monte, most recent say beach is dirty? Went to Driftwood today but very windy and packed, Bayram......

We always travel out towards Camibel and further lots of quiet desrted beaches. Nice clean sea . I would not contemplate going in the water in any of the areas around busy hotels or built up areas.

You only have to travel a short time to get to unpoplated beaches. But of course if your looking for sunbeds , parasols etc. thats a different thing. Golden Bay is normally very nice in Alsancak , but can get very busy.

I agree with Johnny Lee, the more unpopulated the better. Cleaner sand, no screaming children and less s==t from hotels and their speed boats etc. etc.

B.B I was going to say S--t But i didnt. But can you imagine in places like the massive Hotels ( i better not name) where does the soakaway actually finish up. Lets put it this way it dosent run uphill. I know they did tell the fisherman to refrain from eating their catch near the city harbour.
