I suppose its a good thing that old TRNC advocate Sir Iain Duncan Smith is one-off the Tories that managed to hold on to his seat in the recent UK General Election.

Now that the Tories are in opposition it may that he and others can put more pressure on the UK Government regarding direct flights. As reported in today's Cyprus Mail, he said there is, "no valid reason" for no direct flights between the UK and TRNC, when he met with "President" Ersin Tartar. (I assume he's not heard of the Chicago Convention)???

Choose your spouse, friend, relative, in difficult days. On a good day, no one shows their purity.

I wasn't being negative. But, the subject has been discussed on here many times and elsewhere as well as online partitions aiming to raise the issue in UK Parliament and so on and it always comes down to the Chicago Convention. I didn't sign it if it puts your mind at rest (the Chicago Convention that is not the recent online partition, which I did sign, because as you said and I agree, every little helps.

Turkish states discussing using Famagusta port.

No idea of probability or indeed the great benefit
