External Metal spiral stairs

Dear members hope you are all well and safe. At our holiday home in Alagadi Girne we have external spiral stairs which requires painting each year as we are quite near the sea. Any suggestions on what can be done to prevent high maintenance ? i.e painting each year . Also we have noticed that the stairs have become rotted

After a couple more years it will need lots of work done. The only way is to have a new set made and galvanised or aluminium now if you are going to keep the property. If not spruce them up let next person have the expensive

I know people of who are tarting their pools up for the self same reason. (sorry to go off topic)
