Is there something a bit stronger you can bait trap with as the box stuff they seem to strive on

Poison the rats, cats eat the rats and they die. Birds eat the dead rats and they die. Poison is a really bad idea!

We use a humane trap, once captured the rat get released far from human habitat. This was no. 14 this year...
