Indeed Poppy, been wanting to move for ages, but needed to keep them for residency, only got 6 months due to new exemption, so having to hold on with them until January now. That is if I am still here with the way things are going.

People are moving Banks asap after residency.
Garanti in particular very busy with new custom., Albank is getting more people going there.
Unfortunately some banks no longer have the excellent customer service they were known for.

So Credit West ATMs have finally allowed sterling in their ATM's? We left them because they told us that because they were not an International Bank they were not allowed to dispense Sterling?

Sorry, this post from Gates - "There cash machine great drawing money from uk" - confused me, I just wondered now why you would draw TL from the UK? Or am I missing something here??

There are quite a few banks ATMs where you can withdraw TL using UK bank card without incurring charges at this end. I use Revolut, Chase and Starling debit cards here with no charges at either end for withdrawing TL.
Funnily enough Creditwest wouldn't let me use whatever card I tried a while back, so haven't tried again.
