If you still own the property it is never void. Just go to Nicosia and get the print out

Re: P.T.P (Permission to purchase)
We have recently been informed of the following;
On 21st of May 2024, the TRNC Legislative Assembly passed significant amendments to the law on Acquisition of Immovable Property and Long-Term Lease (Aliens Law) No. 52/2008.
There were deadlines for payments of taxes and vat for those who had not paid of August 2024 the deadlines were extended by 60 days, we have been told new deadline Is November 2024. Also told that non payment of these taxes will result in the PTP becoming Null & Void.
We have No Kocans, still waiting 10years plus re site, developer issues delaying such……..

You would need to reapply and pay a fee.

Id seek legal advice. People throwing wrong info a about here. Be careful reapplying if you dont have deeds available there may be limited chances to do so.

Good Morning Sticky1. First off how come you have never received your Kocan if you have had your PTP for 10 years. This will be the main question any legal person is going to ask you. Is it, as it is in many cases, a problem with builder? What site are you on is it an individual stand alone plot or are there many of you? I only ask this to see if, maybe, others close by have their Kocan. Please be very careful which legal advice you take. All the very best.
I feel sure if you put more about this one on this site you will get some good feedback before you go and pay horrendous legal fees.

Re: P.T.P (Permission to purchase)
The information we have recieved and referred to above is from a TRNC Lawyer.
We purchased mid 2000 on an aprtment complex of some 40-50 owners. Our developer is still alive however for one reason or another ( there are many) we still have not been offered Kocans.
We put our faith and belief in the hands of lawyers to give us advice based upon our set of circumstances, throughout we have always paid what has been due, however because of something totally out of our control we are being expected to pay demands by a given date with the result of if we do not pay by the given date our PTP will be made null & void, of which could affect our future here.
Many many thx to all who have replied

I suggest you join the foreign residents group, if not already a member. They are helping lots of people in similar situations by giving advice and putting them in touch with trusted professionals. They have meetings on Fridays in Lapta at the Blue Song and on Wednesdays in Çatalköy at Sultans. Not quite sure of the times - 2pm until 4pm, I think. They also have a Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/share/g/AjW37Uw9DcAWsfN4/
