We found mattresses at a reasonable price at a shop on the Alsancak-Lapta road. I don't know what it's called but it's just after the Silver Rocks Restaurant on the right hand side as you drive towards Karsiyaka, and it's a double-storey green building. We've always found the people there friendly and helpful. You can order whatever size mattress you want and they get in made in Lefkosa, delivered to their shop, or if I remember rightly they'll deliver for you.
Do your best to grow old disgracefully.

I highly recommend Olgun Furniture store.
They have 2 stores, one in Lefkosa and one in Karakum.
The shop in Karakum is directly opposite China Bazzar.
Bought a superb pocket sprung mattress off them last year - best money ever spent, like sleeping on a cloud!
King size, pocket sprung, winter and summer sides. Cant remember exactly how much i paid but think it was around £700
They also sell very nice bedding.
English spoken in both stores.
Family run business, very professional and efficient.

kadir at Ronnie's karaglanaglu supplied ours when he made our beds, don't think they were expensive but they are very good and comfy.
