Car insurance - whopping increase!

Just had a msg from our insurance agent: our old Suzuki Vitara was 780 TL for the 3rd party - this year 3007tl - by counting my toes and feet that's a mind boggling 258% increase. No point shopping around as they are a standard set fee by the 'Government'.

Along with all the other government increases.... ($$) ((W\))

Actually, it might still be worth while shopping around, as some insurance Companies automatically include 'extras' that you haven't asked for (but which they do charge for!) when asked for 3rd Party insurance.

Make sure that you ask for 'Legal minimum' insurance in order to get the best price.

"UK called rip off Britain!" now, "rip off TRNC" £69 for a years 3rd party insurance - what a rip off? How much is it in the UK then??? I didn't hear anyone complain when last year it was £15 a year mind you - lol.
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

I am generalising, as in food prices, gas prices, restaurant prices, meat prices, etc etc.

this isn't the UK though!

The economy is in a doom spiral I am afraid, feeding inflation rather than getting ahead of it

tourists are price sensitive, they will go where they get best value, so that revenue is drying up

my fully comprehensive insurance in the UK last year for a honda jazz was £159 fyi, not sure about third party!

for the life of me, i don't know why they don't quadruple taxes on booze a fags.
