Dont really know what to make of all this.

Hardly a confidence building measure.

A peaceful settlement seems as far off as ever.

No more so than the Greek Cypriots who have "Purchased" Turkish Cypriot land or live in "Abandoned" Turkish Cypriot property, even worse those who have continued to make money by renting out property that is not theirs to start with. The South are very clever at not admitting to any wrong doing and then making their own laws to suit themselves.

There may well be people living in the North that have bought or thought they had bought "Exchange" land and property but proving it will be a very difficult thing for either side to do.
