Caterpillars
The "ooops" are well and truly processing now. Be careful of yourselves and particularly pets.

Re: Caterpillars
Thanks for the warning BB. The newish addition to the family investigates everything, so will be extra vigilant.

Re: Caterpillars
Please don't mistake the piles of black and yellow caterpillars writhing on the ground for the processionary variety. The ones in a heap are not processionary ones.

Re: Caterpillars
All I can say are these ones are marching around head to tail in my neighbours drive. My neighbours fir tree was covered in the white cocoons up until early last week. . They have been to Council who are aware and will be spraying next month. You may be right Groucho but neighbours were not aware at first and his faces blew up like balloon and hands, arms, neck were covered in a horrible rash. Pharmacist told them it was from a "gas" (their words not mine) the caterpillars give off from the "hairs/spines" I'm always very wary because one of my lovely oldies lost half a mouth when his jaw rotted away after he bit into one. He was under IC for 4 days and nights.
