Re: Wire green mesh
Be aware, they do 'shed' so it's a liability near a pool.

Re: Wire green mesh
I've not had a problem with shedding into pool. Distance from pool about 3 metres.

Re: Wire green mesh
Have had absolutely no problem with Shedding, less than two metres from pool. I know that artificial grass can sometimes go a bit bald, but thats a different thing altogether.

Re: Wire green mesh
Well my neighbours have installed it next to their pool and it sheds... maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but one day and for the rest of time...

Yes I agree. We had it near the pool and it was a menace plus it discoloured really badly.

Re: Wire green mesh
I wonder if there are different grades of the stuff? Mine has been up for 2 years and absolutely no problem whatsoever.

Re: Wire green mesh
Ah ours had probably been up for ten years or so as it was already there when we bought the property. Also maybe there are different grades but I have to say the previous owners did seem to buy quality generally.

Re: Wire green mesh
Laura B, apparently you are supposed to give it a wee hose down from time to time. I didn't even know it was available 10 years ago, seemed fairly newish to the island when I was looking for a new fence which didn't require any upkeep. The old wooden one was rotting at the bottom posts. My other choice was the fake wood panelled stuff which doesn't require maintenance either, but fancied a wee change.

Ours has been up for about 3 years plus and didn't know I was supposed to water plastic.

Re: Wire green mesh
Alphamike it's quite possible the previous owner got it from elsewhere as it seems he liked to bring in a lot of stuff for his house. Obviously I have no idea where it came from but we were less than impressed with it.......possibly unfairly. Fancy having to water it though! What is the purpose of that I wonder.

Re: Wire green mesh
Watering it is supposed to stop the bits flaking off apparently. I thought my neighbour was winding me up, but he does it.
