South Car Hire

I would be interested to know if anyone has had an accident in a southern hire car whilst driving in the north and, if so, what were the ramifications? Taking everything into account it is now so much cheaper to hire in the south rather than the north. In the past for short stays i have taken the risk but am now wondering if it is a risk worth taking for longer stays? Any helpful information would be appreciated please. Many thanks

What are the differences in price?

Several hundred pounds, especially as it is now £70 each way from LCA before you even start.

The 3rd party you buy at the boarder is for the other car, the comp you get from the south make sure you are covered for the north if it is a right off
it will cost you a lot
you will also have to pay to get the car back to the south if it is undriveable

Look also at using buses from Larnaca airport to Lefkosa, quite cheap, though not always convenient.

Maybe we need a FB page or similar for taxi sharing to reduce costs, as you say, it's not long ago we were paying £25 each way as long as we hired a car.

Inflation has been with TL not £
