Skype Replacement

Has anybody found a cheap and simple replacement for Skype? I've looked at Yolla but they're quoting up to $1.33 per minute to the UK! You can't find the actual price until you've deposited some money with them and dialled the number as far as I can make out! As I'll be phoning my UK bank this could prove to be quite expensive!

Take a look at Voipfone. 1p per minute to uk landlines, 7p per minute to mobiles. You don't have to have a monthly package, you can have a 'flex'plan, load with £5 or £10 when top up needed.

Thank you aerhere, i did take a look at voiphone and they actually offer 1 month's free trial, so I'll certainly give that a go.

Has anyone actually used voip yet please? I have downloaded it and they have taken the first payment but I have no idea how to use it? Do you need special equipment to get started? I have all the headings on the home page but cannot for the life of me figure out how to find the keypad?

If anyone can guide me through it it would be very much appreciated.
