Selling a car

Would anyone know what documents inc photocopies etc you would need to sell a car . Rough costs of stamps etc. For both seller and buyer.

Seller passport copy and car's paperwork
Buyer passport copy, fee for transfer and stamps
In girne they sell stamps at the cafe and sometimes behind the car department

All i have ever done is gone to the road tax office anyone with docs and seller or buyer changed over and paid. That simple. It’s the quews the problem get their early

You used to need a document from the seller's Muhtar - is that no longer required?

Only if the seller is not with you. If you both go you just need your passport and documents for the car

It’s a good idea to husband and wife on log book. Then if one dies you can still sell it

No you can not until probate, the deceased is unable to present themselves to sign but you are legally allowed to drive the vehicle.
