Solar Energy credits
Told by a local that any unused kWh credits will be deleted by end of each year, they will not be carried forward. Has any members heard of this?

Re: Solar Energy credits
I have not heard of anything like this, but if i had interpreted my december/january bills correctly, i have never seen any excess shown from the previous month despite the sytem producing more than i used in that period.
If anyone else can see anything on thier bills to indicate an 'excess carried forward' please let us know.

the problem is that for a proper "energy accountancy" you need four values:greengate wrote: ↑Sun 17 Aug 2025 12:58 pmI have not heard of anything like this, but if i had interpreted my december/january bills correctly, i have never seen any excess shown from the previous month despite the sytem producing more than i used in that period.

1. solar production , 2. kibtek solar excess feed in, 3. kibtek usage and 4., mostly lacking, the total energy usage in the house.

Re: Solar Energy credits
they tried this before and failed. I doubt if this one has any teeth to it. Told by a local? Now there is a way to start the rumour mill going.
Did you know this local Sonar and if so is he linked, in any way to Kib-Tec or Government please.
I check my bill every month and am always amazed at the additional credit i gain even with having my A/C s on The credit pays for the very poor months of little sunshine.
I hope this is just a nasty rumour

Re: Solar Energy credits
Yes I know the person. He had solar installed last year. Just wondered if anyone has seen anything published in the papers or news.
If true then getting worse as time goes by. Had solar installed over 7 years ago. At beginning was getting 1kw produced for 1kw drawn at same rate. This changed a couple of years back and was paying more for drawn credit if over the 4 or so Kibtek usage rates implemented.
Not paid anything for past 8 months so not sure if the different rates are still used as they show zero under "Slice kws" column on my bills.

Re: Solar Energy credits
the so called "YEK Belge" , commonly known as a " permission to install solar energy", is a 20 year contract between the appliciant and the government /kibtek. the installation itself (eg, as an example, no permission to add more solar panels ) and the "net metering method" is part of the contract, incl the "credit system". so, for these old contracts, going into the thousands, the gov (or kibtek) can not change the conditions that easily: you (or many as a plaintiff community) could sue them.Tanky wrote: ↑Mon 18 Aug 2025 10:31 amthey tried this before and failed. Re: Solar Energy credits
as an application "in the name of the electricity meter holder" was handed in, incl elelctric plan, serials of the solar panels and inverter.. aso, there also must be a paper which grants this application, which is the "YEK belge".
all the papers, incl the YEK belge, should be with you, if not with your installer, if not with kibtek (maybe) and definitely with the energy ministry.
