BBC News - World's largest sports piracy site shut down by police

I think that there'll be a few glum faces in TRNC this weekend...

If the providers were not so greedy and priced their products fairly then People would be more likely to pay for legal services. I can’t understand the costs of some of the services and why they vary so much, take F1 TV as an example! What is the cost in UK compared to the same product in Turkey? Plus the restrictions on availability due to the restriction in payment methods! The providers make a rod for their own backs and then grumble when they take a beating. No sympathy for them I am afraid. F1 live - only available on Sky F1 Sports - really???
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

Both my IPTV systems are showing Sport.

You might block these people for 48 hours, but they will always find a way around it.

This explains why, on Friday, I went on to my usual App where normally I can get into about 20 countries and watch (if available) 60 or more assorted sports. All I could get on every single country/sport was a Pakistani news channel ARY. I haven't tried since, but suspect it will be the same. I thought perhaps it was a hacker at work. This included SKY sports as well but not the full package.

Well it looks as if we have lost sport completely. It all came via an App called Rapidstreamz. Have tried again and all sports channels are one Pakistani channel. Hopefully I'll be able to get Djokovic match on Youtube! If Him in Doors can't get his Arsenal, the air will change every shade of blue imaginable.

I asked the question, and got an 'AI generated' answer...

Rapid Streamz Closed?
As of September 7, 2025, Rapid Streamz has not officially closed down, but its functionality on devices like the Fire Stick is severely compromised due to Amazon's ongoing crackdown on third-party applications. The latest update to the Fire Stick platform in June 2025 has blocked many versions of the Rapid Streamz APK, causing the app to fail to run even after installation.
While a specific version, v3.9.7, has been found to work temporarily, its continued operation is uncertain as Amazon continues to enforce restrictions.
The app is not available on official app stores and must be sideloaded, which carries inherent risks and instability.

Rapid Streamz is an unofficial streaming app that is not available on the Amazon App Store and requires sideloading via third-party methods like the Downloader app.
The app has faced significant issues since Amazon's June 2025 update, which blocked numerous APK versions, rendering them non-functional.
Although a working version (v3.9.7) exists as of August 2025, its long-term viability is uncertain due to Amazon's ongoing enforcement actions.
The app's developer has not released a new version to counter these blocks, and the official website for the app appears to be inactive or redirected.
Users are advised to use a VPN for security, as the app's streaming sources are unverified and Amazon monitors activity on Fire Stick devices.

… and this is why l use an Android box for my IPTV apps. Amazon are going to an ongoing PITA with their devices.

You just need a decent Fire TV Stick and a good IPTV supplier.

What do you expect from these free apps.

An unpleasant feeling behind to put it politely, perhaps commonly associated with haemorrhoids (:())

Which IPTV supplier do you recommend?

Approximate cost?

I have two systems, one from a Guy in the UK and another from an English guy in Thailand, both have been fault-free for the last 3 1/2 years and both cost £65 for 1 year. Oh! the UK guy in the UK offers a 2 room system for £100 so you can watch different channels in different rooms.

I'd certainly want a two room system. I'm not going to watch 6 hours of cricket in the Summer and the same for football which seems to be year round. I would want iPlayer when all the sport on. I have two fire sticks if that makes a difference?
