New Camera Fines
If you have been caught by one of the new "Speed" cameras for some offence, what happens to the fine, and how is it delivered to you?

Re: New Camera Fines
NB It never expires, unlike in many other countries, the fine has no expiration date - so if you leave without settling up, it will await your return.

Re: New Camera Fines
Why not just go to the Girne main police station with your car documents and ask? No point worrying the if’s and but’s, you get caught in the end one day anyway! I go once a year, a month after I pay my road tax - painless - so far. lol.
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

Re: New Camera Fines
About five years ago I went to Girne to pay a speeding fine (thats when they weren't mind bendingly expensive). I asked how long the points stayed on my licence and he said, they are automatically removed after 17 months. I went in to check after about 20 months and they hadn't been removed, so PO removed them there and then.

Re: New Camera Fines
I notice original pictures showed the new apparatus on top of post or camera, They appear to have been moved now and are halfway or even less down the post i.e. different angle altogether. Not sure about the large overhead cameras.
