Erhan Arıklı: AI-supported cameras were removed to be reinstalled
Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı stated that the AI-supported cameras were removed to be reinstalled, saying, "Those who complain about the cameras are potential criminals."
Minister of Public Works and Transport Erhan Arıklı participated in a program broadcast on Kıbrıs Genç TV and made statements about artificial intelligence-supported cameras.
Minister Arıklı clarified the removal of AI-enabled cameras, stating that the cameras were in the testing phase and that those that failed calibration checks had been removed. Arıklı emphasized that the AI-enabled cameras were removed for reinstatement.
"THOSE WHO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE CAMERAS ARE POTENTIAL CRIMINALS"
Arıklı also stated that they will increase the number of cameras from 120 to 300 and that they have observed a decrease in the number of accidents in the areas where cameras are installed.
Erhan Arıklı said, "Those who complain about the cameras are potential criminals. The rules are clear. Those who follow the rules have no problem with the cameras. Traffic monsters have a problem with the cameras.

One of best ways to ensure safer driving is to make dash-cams compulsory, so that people driving with reckless disregard for the safety of others will be monitored by the rest of the driving public.

If he was ever clocked, would we ever know. Whilst I'm on, it would help if the authorities would repaint the road crossing. They haven't been re painted for years and most of them are totally worn out,

I saw a FB post yesterday from Lefke bele with photos of repainted crossings, so it appears to be the bele's responsibility.
