Pharmacy who makes up potions
Does anyone know a pharmacy that makes up stuff please? I've been recommended to get a balm made up for eczema, and Tatlisu pharmacy can't help. Suspect I'll have to find a larger pharmacy somewhere, preferably far east to Famagusta area, but beggars can't be choosers, so anywhere east side of Girne really.

Have you tried Dead Sea products such as bath salts, cream etc? back 2002 - 2004, I used to do marketing for a company called Ahava who do a range of these products (other suppliers are available) and I got some for my nephew who had bad Eczema and a work colleague who was covered in Psoriasis a few times a year. They were sceptical considering the price tag particularly having tried other things from the Doc's, none of which worked permanently, if at all. I bought a few months supply for each of them "on me" and said If it works they can pay me, but if it doesn't they don't. They've both been free of the skin conditions for years now - and I got paid. Of course everyone's different but it could be worth trying.
You could also try investing in an Electronic Water Descaler. These alter the ph of the water supply to inhibit the growth of Limescale. However, and although there is limited clinical evidence, there are many reports from fellow sufferers who say that following installation of one of these, their skin has improved over time.

Many thanks MnM, info very much appreciated. I'll try anything which may help to be honest, my skin is a flipping nightmare, particularly my hands. I may have tried Dead Sea products in the past, but I cannot remember, am aware of products though, so may well have tried in the past. My skin had been fairly good for such a long time, but past maybe 3 years, a nightmare. GP in UK was flipping useless, and major stress just trying to get appointment and medication given useless. Am now seeing a dermatologist here at the moment, and things seem to be improving, just needing this balm made up that he prescribed. I will look out for Dead Sea products here though, nothing ventured etc. as they say.
I have an electronic water descaler already fitted, thank you though for info, may help others with naff skin.

Have you tried BEDEOĞLU chemist near supreme / mardos çatalköy? Recently my husband broke out in a rash, armpits, groin etc but also hands and feet were affected with strips of skin coming off.
We knew it was probably stress related but whatever we were given soon calmed it down.

Many thanks SND1966 and Mimi2. I haven't been down Girne way yet. Was asking for recommendations to save me having to pop into every pharmacy and ask. I'll check out those two, thank you again.

Maybe look into paraffin wax treatments too. My sister used to suffer terribly on her hands when she was young and it was one of the most effective treatments.

It may also be worth checking your vitamin D levels (and other vitamin levels) at a lab. There is some evidence that vitamin D supplements can help eczema. Even though we live in a sunny place, it doesn't always follow that our vitamin D levels are high. I take 2000 IU every day on the recommendation of my cardiologist and get my levels checked about once a year to make sure I don't overdose, not happened yet.

Thank you Smiler and CoA. All suggestions are really welcome, I really will try anything to get this sorted out, so will look into paraffin wax treatments and get Vit D (and other) levels checked too. I don't want to try out anything new at the moment until I see how this current treatment works, it's very early days. Won't harm having Vit levels checked though, especially as I've been advised to keep out of the sun.

My wife brought some water test strips and tested our cold water feed yesterday - absolutely no hard water reading, all the other indicators show water to be perfectly potable... now I'm using tap water for my tea, will use it as it comes in all circumstances soon.
