We've had the same guy for years now. He quoted a price, we agreed it and he increased it a little every three months as chemicals prices increased, which was fine.
Like most if not all, he comes once a month this time of year BUT when I go to pay him, he gets his calculator out and asks what ever the exchange is on the day. Does your man follow the same procedure. ?

Re: Paying Pool man.
I pay mine with Sterling, but on the one occasion I didn't have enough, I calculated the amount by the exchange rate on Google and my chap was quite happy with that. Used him for years and we do have mutual trust. I doubt if he'd care if I always paid him in TL, as long as he gets paid. My chap puts up the price every so often, but not as often as every 3 months. He comes once weekly during the winter and always checks after heavy rain for water in pump room, twice weekly summer.

He's just been, standing in the kitchen with water pouring off him like Niagra. Out came the calculator and the usual "Round it up if you haven't got exact lira. It grates a bit.
