Erdener Market

For those who like shopping in Erdener Karakum, they have just taken over a village market in Catalkoy it's the one behind the Mosque just off the village square. The young man now running it speaks excellent English (the old chap who used to run it did too), although they can't carry the full range of products there's a good cross section, fruit and veg and all sections (haven't seen any bacon yet) and he told me the prices are the same as the main supermarket as the tills are linked, so for those who need a few bits then this could save a drive. There is limited parking infront and to the side of the shop and the square is only yards (or should I say metres away) where there is ample parking. For the likes of me it's only minutes walking from home
