Re: Solar panels timescale
Please remember to tell the installer if you have an automatic generator as if you do you should have a telemetry cable run from the Genny to the Inverter box where there is a port available for this.

Re: Solar panels timescale
If you are not connecting your solar panels to also feed into the grid, I don't think you need a permit?

Re: Solar panels timescale
in general you can say that all "AC" solar systems do need a permission.
you say "not connecting your solar panels to also feed into the grid", but, you have to make sure that this actually can not happen.
to set a software "not to do so" is not sufficient, you have to make sure that this "physically" can not happen.
you have to separate your AC PV system from your grid. eg, with a manuell change over. eg, 1= grid, 0= off, 2 = solar system (basically same as you would run a diesel /petrol generator).
only then you are on a sort of a save side.
meaning: your AC solar system works "off grid", if the solar /battery power is not sufficient you have to change to "kibtek grid".
problem: most of the offered (china - hybrit) inverters are not off grid inverters, they are grid connected "half off grid" inverters, mainly working to "support the needs, feed the grid with excess" and only "from time to time" kicking in as an off grid supply (power cuts).
