Hi Looking to have CAC Scan - heart health to detect calcified hardened plaque in arteries. Any recommendations/idea of costs in the Kyrenia area? Apols if posted in wrong sub.

The question being before checking on cost is whether you are a member of the BRS or TFR as you will almost certainly be entitled to a discount in most of the Private hospitals The other question is, have you paid your full state medical Insurance, if you have then you will probably be entitled to the State price. I recently had a different type of scan and the cost in Lefkosa State hospital was amazing. I should have had to add at least other 0 at the end. Good luck.

Just wondering how you get the State insurance cost...... do you produce your health certificate to someone, if so who and at what stage. people have told me that this was only for a and e.

I suggest you contact either or both the TFR/BRS and get the information direct from the Horses Mouth. I know what applies to me and what ails me. Other people could be completely different. Much the best way.

Normally you take your passport, and I gather from a friend she now has an exemption certificate after years of residency applied and paid for state cover. They ring 1101 for an appointment stating what you want, but she is already registered at the state hospital but I think they give their passport information. In the old days you used to take your passport and register first before making an appointment booking, they may do this at the appointment now when you say I'm here!. Unfortunately I am no help as I worked here and my appointments are under my kimlik and payments I have made so all I do is advise who I want to see and give my card details. On arrival at the hospital I go and get a ticket for the Dr/ service I have asked for.
