4 years ago after discussion with our Dr I decided to inform Insurance Company that my husband was no longer a driver and his name was removed from the Insurance policy. He has had a few occasions where the DL was used in order to show Pass Port number. Two weeks ago the Passport expired but nothing other than that has a altered. Bearing in mind he is 90 do you think it is essential to purchase another D.L. I think I know the answer but if I can avoid lashing out cash then so be it would be fine.

If he's no longer driving he shouldn't need a DL, but you are supposed to carry ID.
You could always get his passport page copied / laminated and made wallet size.

That was my plan B, provided whoever wants the information doesn't want Parents details as well. I think I'll give it a try and hope police or who ever are happy with that but there won't be an uptodate photo or house address though.

You could do the same with residence/exemption cert on the back of it.

I've been reducing in size the residency cert for least 5 years. Now of course its the exemption cert.
