Can anyone recommend a reliable/reputable moving company please? From the TRNC to the UK. If anyone has moved recently a price would be very useful, thank you.

I can recommend Olaytrans in Famagusta. They moved a 40 ft container out here from Kuwait and were really excellent, helpful and professional. I don't know about moving from here to the UK, but I can't think why they wouldn't be equally professional.

Olytrans, communication is 100% and a very reassuring approach.

Doesn't surprise me one bit. A useless bunch in this country.

Does anyone know where I can buy packing boxes and bubble wrap please? Not half a banana box from a supermarket, thanks.

Just yesterday I saw a lady walking away from Superhome Centre, Engomi, with large flat pack cardboard boxes - if you have no joy this side.

Just Googled and yes, bubble wrap on a roll there too.

We bought all our bubble wrap last year from the Deniz plaza shop in Karakum (upstairs). They might do packing boxes as well but not sure.

Does this mean the house has gone now (or at least going) Don't envy you packing in this heat. Good luck.

You are not kidding!! The "stuff" you collect in 24yrs is just amazing, we are starting to empty draws and cupboards we have not been in for years! It has taken over 4 hours this morning just to empty a cupboard under the stairs, Christmas trees, old photos, its a nightmare. In addition, the company who are doing our conveyancing have sent us a list mile long to complete the sale. We also have to try and find a company who will transport our 11 cats.

How I relate to the cupboard under the stairs and a bedroom that has never been used which is full of stuff, dumped there the day we moved and have stayed there. Not to mentioned antique stuff that can't be insured. Lord only know where I thought we were moving to and the life we were going to live when we moved here for good. We were truly were totally mental.. Particularly when I think of the money we could have made if we had have left it with local sale rooms, which appear frequently on Flog it and one or two other programmes. I also have three Christmas trees, and come what may they are going to be laid out in a row on the street, nearer Christmas.
