Re: RESIDENCY TAX ????????
When you start your online residency application you select the number of years you would like, the options are 1 or 2 years. Despite the government saying they would introduce longer periods it hasn't happened.
According to the BRS website 8000TL is for a 2 year permit, 70TL covers the tax.
Sometimes, you don't quite get what you asked for due to your passport or rental agreement (if applicable) expiring within the period but you still pay for the full period. When you get a new passport/rental agreement you take it to the immigration office and they will extend your permit appropriately.
So it looks like you've been granted the maximum period possible under the current rules.

We have plenty of time on the Passport and home owners.
So once again promise of 10 years all a nonsense even BRS said in a previous email i sent it would be offered.
We even increased our credit card to cover it……. Yet again all talk no do…left hand right hand …

Re: RESIDENCY TAX ????????
8,000 TL is the standard residency fee. 70 TL is additional tax. 10-year option is different. Usually for long-term or citizenship. BRS can clarify. Check with them.

Ummmmm BRS confirmed months ago 10 years was an option, clearly it isn't as I found today paying my husbands
