Beware Garanti bank cash machine Karakum Lemar car-park is giving out old £20 notes, These are no longer in use!

How do we know they are old, if we are offered one ? What do they have on them thats different to the new ones ?

Withdrawal of the Elgar £20 Note - 30 June 2010

The older-style £20 notes that show a portrait of Sir Edward Elgar were withdrawn on 30 June.

The new notes have Adam Smith on them

I unfortunately received one and took to where i hold a local bank account and they changed it no problem. The person I tried to pass it on to acted like it was a real hardship therefore i was pleasantly surprised the bank just changed it.
