Hello. Where can one find information of upcoming events? I keep checking here, but no success. Like I know the 23 April is International children's festival. So I know the date, but what time? where? what will occur or have? ETC. Some postings have a date and time but no place ( new market fri- 9am to 1.... where?).So what is a good online source to refer to?

Would be nice if more people used the Events Calendar: http://www.kibkomnorthcyprusforum.com/calendar.php

Most events are posted in various formats on the forum, some are printed in the newspapers and some also on http://www.cyprusscene.com a lot of businesses also post their events via their facebook pages. Obviously going through all these can be a bit time consuming am afraid. Hope this helps.

Thank you for responses. There is a round about in downtown Girne where I saw an advertisement of the holiday and the dates but no time or places (unless its in tiny print that I cannot catch while driving by). I did look at the calendar and was surprised NOTHING was written for the 23rd. I checked 2 other forums and also nothing about childrens day. I checked LGC also nothing. I also checked cypruscene, nothing. Today I looked at the LGC and there was an article "children's day celebrations".... it was at Baris Park.... oh well. I would like to join the festivities, but information is lacking.

I find that information is sadly lacking on all events - the first i usually know about an event is when someone has posted a message to say they had a great time or because Cyprus Today print the pictures!

I agree with the other posts- it would be good if there were some governmental 'Joined up thinking' on this matter.
I asked recently on anther thread if there was a 'what's on at Bellapais Abbey' website, you would think the tourist board would have created one for what is arguably a jewel in the tourism crown.
The Gov here really need to get real with an informative 'what's on' site.
The problem at the moment is that a lot of info available online in on paid for advertising sites, and anything of cultural interest gets missed out, apart from the occasional mention on the English language radio service, which the majority of tourists will have no knowledge or access to.
